it’s not just black and white

responding to a block of disused wards

A series of paintings on hospital gowns –  cut up, reassembled and stretched.

This is the part of a series of projects – all that remains, time, mutepast imperfect,  it’s not just black and white  –  made during a year long residency in a disused block of wards at a local hospital.  The wards had been closed for many years, frozen in time between demolition and regeneration.
